The Log Driver's Waltz

When my father first immigrated to Canada when he was 17 years old, he ended up in a logging camp in Quebec. He worked for 25 cents an hour.

Decades later, Canadian tv used to run some historical vignettes in between commercials. They covered a realm of topics from suffragettes to some of our political history. One of my favourites was about our rich forestry industry. It's a catchy tune and makes me think of my dad in the mid 1950's in the cold Quebec logging camps.

Much to my delight, I found a copy of it on YouTube and couldn't resist sharing it.
