Victorian 1846 Diary Online

The diary of Nathaniel Bryceson
Wharf clerk of Soho and Pimlico
1846
Aged 19

The City of Westminster is currently publishing the diary of Nathaniel Bryceson, a wharf clerk.   The diary provides fascinating insight into the daily life of a young man at his job.  His diary is full of descriptions of places he visits across London, family issues, weather, local events, and even politics.

A copy of the actual page is epicted and then the diary entry is shown in typeset.

Here is the link:  http://www.westminster.gov.uk/services/libraries/archives/victorian-clerk/intro/ so you can follow along each day as they print a new entry of this diary.

Fascinating, Mirella. The first few entries are quite brief, but I will definitely bookmark this for future reference and explore it further

As an archivist, I'd like to thank you for bringing attention to primary sources. I love reading old diaries and have learned a lot from them.
