This was fun, looking for the answers - Seth Hunter certainly had an interesting life growing up. Nathan Peake is a fictional naval hero of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, son of an American mother and English father. He first appears in an earlier novel, Time of Terror (Mr. Hunter's first book). As a circus employee he agreed to box a Kangaroo. Thanks for this great giveaway.

Nathan Peak is the fictional lead in Mr. Hunter's books. He is an American spy during the Revolutionary War.

Time of Terror is Mr. Hunter's first book.

Make a noise like a carrot?
    heh.
Mr. Hunter boxed a kangaroo while working cleaning out her cage because it was found he knew how to box and he was asked.
    Thank you

Nathan Peake was a fictional American spy during the Revolutionary War. The first novel of this series is Time of Terror. Nathan Peake boxed the circus kangaroo because the kangaroo's trainer found out that Nathan could box. I was interested in the part that spoke of Nathan being the descendent of a Salem witch because I have some Salem ancestors who were indirectly involved in the trials. Thank you for this giveaway.

His first book as Seth Hunter was "Time of Terror". Why he boxed a kangaroo is inexplicable. Maybe he was on some neurotic macho trip which compels men to climb moutains, etc.

    1. Nathan peak is a fictional American naval spy in the series.

    2. Time of Terror is the first book in the series.

    3. Why did he box the kangaroo. To coin a phrase probably "because it seemed a good thing to do at the time". Telling the trainer he had some boxing experience was a mistake. Remember the old army truism, never volunteer for anything.

I am a great Patrick O'Brian fan and have his complete series from W W Norton in a boxed set (includes the unfinished 21st book) C.S. Forester was one of my favourites when younger and I am now enjoying Julian Stockwin's Kydd series.

Hope the giveaway is open worldwide ?

    Thanks.
