Then being adopted when I was around 3, I was on a plain with complete strangers and got to live an amazing life with my forever family. I love reading up on the story and if Anastasia truly escaped or not. You either believe in what people tell you or you don't. The history goes way back so no one can truly tell you for sure what happened to Anastasia. I'd like to think that their was a rescue plan but who knows for certain?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-66187882721862964552016-01-29T11:25:38.437-07:002016-01-29T11:25:38.437-07:00Dear Elizabeth,

With so many murdered in her family, it only stands to reason that she would spend the remainder of her life in obscurity and secrecy. I hope that she is at peace now. The world was unkind to this wonderful family. Thanks so much for sharing that. I know I will be thinking about your story every time I hear Anastasia's name mentioned. She couldn't talk and was wheelchair bound(supposedly)though she came to the hospital twice with broken hips. The people that brought her in never touched or showed her any tenderness , but they never left her by herself and never allowed staff to be alone with her. I tried to let her know I cared about her, mostly by eye contact . If she was Anastasia , I think she knew I suspected so . I hope she is at rest now . I believe Rasputin was an evil man that was behind the destruction of the Romanov family. I used to watch the Disney movie with my mom since before I can remember and as I got older I wanted to look into her story more so I looked her up on Wikipedia and mom gave me a old book on the Romanovs and I got even more interested and it would mean a lot to me to have that book and I doubt my fascination will ever subside so I hope that you pick this comment.KMMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13373675480015701002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-59835187995910434842015-10-03T13:42:35.325-06:002015-10-03T13:42:35.325-06:00Hi John,

It could very well be that the blow on her head was so severe she lost memory. Wouldn't it be wonderful if she went on to live a great life. My other thoughts on this matter is that after she suffered such a trauma by witnessing her family being murdered, I'd be completely silent for the rest of my life too. Perhaps she did live in, in secret, without anyone ever knowing her true identity. Lots of stuff here for continued fascination.Mirella Patzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14928081276314403541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-40890791924326584762015-10-02T15:28:04.445-06:002015-10-02T15:28:04.445-06:00Hi Mirella.
I have been fascinated with the story...Hi Mirella.

I have been fascinated with the story of Anastasia for quite some time now. I truly believe that she survived the massacre. I agree with the international forensic scientist William Maples of 1992 where he confirmed that the missing bodies were of Alexei and Anastasia. Alexei eventually died due to his injuries but Anastasia survived. She lost consciousness when she was hit in the head several times and eventually regained consciousness in the wagon where the soldier took pity on her and saved her.I believe she married the young soldier that saved her life and settled anonymously in a small village in eastern Poland which at the time was still occupied by Russia. She lived until the age of 89 and on her death she was survived by 2 sons (not necessary from the same father) and 4 grandchildren. She presently has 10 great grandchildren to carry her royal bloodline. This is my story and i am sticking with it!John Josephshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02126650355365584801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-17499674830701155782015-08-17T02:38:11.585-06:002015-08-17T02:38:11.585-06:00I too have seen the movie and I feel for her and a...I too have seen the movie and I feel for her and also feel I have a connection to her maybe not that I am her family but that I do not know most of my family and that I do not really know where my family comes from I know that some of my mothers family is royal blood lines and that we come from Europe some where but I do not really know who I am or where I come from I am only thankful for the family I do have and that I am aliveAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09473817350824482336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-84479931355082469592014-05-31T10:28:32.765-06:002014-05-31T10:28:32.765-06:00Disney did make Anastasia Fox didDisney did make Anastasia Fox didAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04679529629042778265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-44378103652218002782014-03-27T00:51:36.604-06:002014-03-27T00:51:36.604-06:00The story of Anastasia always makes me heart broke...The story of Anastasia always makes me heart broken and curious heart broken because the girl had her life ahead of her she so little and seeing how cruel the world was at that age !I'm also realty curios about Anna Anderson I'm mean yeah I know it couldn't possibly be Anastasia I researched them both for months I realised Anna wasn't Anastasia but I'm still always curious

May Anastasia rest in peace

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13504102748689545685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7660357194650222850.post-2482348820702438512014-03-09T01:05:33.015-07:002014-03-09T01:05:33.015-07:00Anastasia's story will continue to fascinate m...Anastasia's story will continue to fascinate me. Years passed I've done a lot of readings about Anastasia and the Romanov family and I have to say this post on your blog pretty much sums it up.Anastasia went through a lot of grief and horrifying experiences that is beyond my imagination. Apparently I like to believe that prior to her mysterious survival/disappearance, Anastasia found solace in her heart to peacefully mourn the deaths of her family and to forgive the animals who murdered them. Repose en Paix Anastasia. I've also seen documentaries about the Romanov family on National Geographic. This incremented my interest on Anastasia and her family. Came across this blog and was mesmerized by the account of her life as told by the blogger. There may be many information found prior to her survival but I'd like to think that she went through a lot of grief and horrifying events. If she really survived, I hope to God she found solace in her heart. The idea that she just 'disappeared' is one of the mysteries that, despite the fact that you know it will never be solved, you keep going back to it. What we know of Anastasia and the Romanovs shows that they were a lovely family that did not deserve the fate that met them. And why is that? It is because the life of a young, innocent woman , barely more than a girl, has just been defiled by human greed. It is so sad that so many self-seekers have just desecrated her memory by trying to impersonate her.
